font-descent are as returned by xcb_query_text_extents (TODO).
Note that using X core fonts is deprecated (but still supported) in favor of
client-side rendering using Xft.
This form can be used only if the request will not cause
a reply to be generated. Any returned error will be
saved for handling by xcb_request_check().
